The US Department of Commerce DOC released its preliminary findings in its anti-dumping (AD) investigation concerning Chinese and Taiwanese solar PV components, confirming that the DOC found evidence of dumping. Preliminary rates were set forth that vary by both country and specific company.

Preliminary AD rates for Chinese companies range from 26.33% and 165.04% while for Taiwanese companies rates ranged from 27.59% to 44.18%. In terms of company specific ranges, Trina received the lowest rate, 26.33%, while both Renesola and Jinko Solar received rates of 58.87%. This announcement is in addition to the early-June 2014 release, where an anti-subsidy investigation put in place preliminary duties ranging from 3.38-28.30%.
