Fotowatio Renewable Ventures, Inc. ,חברת אנרגיה פרטית,הודיעה על חתימת הסכם עם Southern California Edison (SCE).,חברת האנרגיה הגדולה בקליפורניה,שתרכוש ממנה חשמל בכמות של 120 מגהואט מפרויקטים סולאריים במדינה.החשמל יספיק ל-78 אלף בתים.
חברת החשמל היא הגדולה בארצות הברית בהתחייבויות רכישת חשמל מאנרגיה מתחדשת. ההסכם כולל פרוייקט אחד של 60 מגהואט ושניים של 20 מגהואט ב- Kern Countyו-20 מגהואט במחוז לוס-אנגלס. הפרויקטים יתחילו לעבוד ב-2013.הם יתחברו לרשתות חשמל קיימות.
